Privacy and confidentiality
Last updated: 10 August 2026
This page explains how I handle personal information received through this website and how confidentiality is approached when discussing or carrying out work.
Who is responsible for your information?
This website and business are operated by Ben Bailey under the name Ben Bailey | AI & Human Performance.
For questions about your information or to exercise your data-protection rights, email:
bensbrand@gmail.com
Information I may collect
If you contact me through the website form, I collect the information you choose to provide:
Your name
Your email address
What you would like to discuss
I may also receive personal information when you email me directly or communicate with me in connection with a possible or existing engagement.
Please do not include confidential information, work examples or personal information about an employee in your initial enquiry.
How I use your information
I use personal information only where necessary to:
Respond to your enquiry
Understand what you are seeing or trying to address
Decide whether a conversation or engagement may be useful
Arrange and deliver agreed work
Maintain appropriate business, legal and financial records
Protect the security and integrity of the website and my business
The legal basis will normally be taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing an agreed contract, complying with a legal obligation or pursuing legitimate business interests such as responding to enquiries and maintaining correspondence.
I do not use an enquiry to add you to a newsletter or general marketing list. I do not sell personal information or use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Google Forms and other service providers
The enquiry form is provided through Google Forms and the website is hosted using Google Sites. Information submitted through the form is processed and stored using Google services.
Form responses are not public. They can be accessed only through authorised accounts used to manage the form and respond to enquiries.
Google and any other service providers I use may process information on my behalf in accordance with their own terms, privacy policies and applicable data-protection safeguards. You can read Google’s Privacy Policy.
Information may also be shared with professional advisers or public authorities where reasonably necessary to meet legal, regulatory, insurance or professional obligations.
Confidentiality in client work
An initial enquiry is not a secure channel for confidential or sensitive material.
If we decide to work together, the handling of information can be agreed before detailed material is shared. Depending on the engagement, this may cover:
What information will be provided
Who may access it
How findings will be reported
How information will be stored and retained
Whether information should be anonymised
What may or may not be used publicly
I will not publish identifiable client material, employee information or a case study without prior approval.
How long I keep information
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement will normally be deleted within 24 months of the last meaningful contact.
Where work proceeds, some records may be retained for longer where necessary for contractual, legal, tax, insurance or record-keeping purposes. Information will be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may have the right to:
Ask for access to your personal information
Ask for inaccurate information to be corrected
Ask for information to be deleted
Ask for processing to be restricted
Object to certain uses of your information
Ask for information to be provided in a portable format
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
These rights are not absolute and may depend on the circumstances and legal basis for processing.
To make a request, email bensbrand@gmail.com. I may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
You may also raise a concern with the data-protection supervisory authority in the country where you live or work.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. However, no website, form or email service can guarantee complete security, which is why confidential or sensitive material should not be included in an initial message.
